It’s great to reach out to you again for our November newsletter.
In previous newsletters, we have been talking about the ‘INPAG Exposure Draft 1’ being on the horizon. Well now, finally, it is just around the corner! It has been an intensely busy few weeks for the CIPFA team, finalising, editing, and proof reading to get ready to publish next week.
Did you know that every four years, thousands of accountants from all over the world gather for the World Congress of Accountants (WCOA)? It is nick-named ‘The Accounting Olympics’. We are delighted that the launch of the Exposure Draft will be announced by Ian Carruthers, (Chair, CIPFA Standards) at WCOA in Mumbai, India on 20 November.
We hope that many of you will be keen to share your opinions during the consultation period, which will be open until 31 March 2023. If so, please take a moment to let us know that you intend to submit a response, by clicking here.
Please look out for the email announcement of INPAG Exposure Draft 1 on 21 November. From Monday, you will be able to access:

Our upcoming series of webinars will address the four main topics covered in INPAG ED1, outlining the proposals, and with plenty of time for your questions and comments. Each webinar will be held in two time zones and will include pre-recorded video (available in English, Spanish, French and Arabic), polls, and question/comment and answer. Non-English engagement with real-time conversation will be facilitated using Microsoft Translator mobile phone app.
We co-host online meetings with the project Country Champions all over the world to support engagement with the IFR4NPO project from stakeholders in particular countries or regions. You are welcome to join – please register by clicking the link to our events page below. You can also view the recordings and materials from previous events.
I would particularly like to thank members of the TAG, PAG and Country Champions who have been supporting the translation of the resources into Spanish, French and Arabic, including Bill Beise, Fernando Cacatora, Jose Salas Avila, Mohamed Khlass, Pablo San-Matin, Ra’fat Bandak, and Rohat Zada. It is so important for us to reach and hear from stakeholders in Latin America, francophone Africa and North Africa / Middle East as well as those in anglophone regions.
Thanks for taking the time to read our news – I’d love to hear your comments or reactions.
Please follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter platforms to stay connected.
I look forward to connecting with you next month!
