Freelance Consultant in Finance, Accounting and Internal audit
Donna’s professional experience spans a little over thirty (30) years, across various industries, including 15 years in the public sector. She led and directed the finance, accounting, and administrative functions, developing, implementing and monitoring policies and procedures, strengthening internal controls, enhancing quality and accurate financial reporting and the maintenance of good corporate governance. She led, and coordinated the preparation of annual budgets in line with corporate plans, to include the coordination and management of both external annual financial and internal ad hoc audits. Her knowledge and wealth of experience include the petroleum industry, where she served as; Manager Finance & Administration and Acting General Manager.
She is a fellow member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK). She later complemented her achievements by completing her MBA Finance Electives at the Mona School of Business (University of the West Indies, Jamaica) achieving a Diploma in General Management. She also served as Chair of the Jamaica Red Cross Trust Fund (JRCTF) for a few years. She also served on the Public Relations Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ), assigned the responsibility to lead the activities of the Elsie Bemand Girls Home, a charity “adopted” by the ICAJ.
Donna is a Freelance Consultant in finance, accounting and internal audit. Her passion is to “give back” to society, and she is glad to be a member of a strategic team that encourages good corporate governance, innovation, and stakeholder engagement for a better cause.

Jeanette has spent the last eight years fully engaged in civil society advocacy for improved public governance with a focus on matters related to procurement, corruption and public sector reform. She served the Jamaica Civil Society Coalition, (an umbrella organisation of 21 civil society groups) as C0-Executive Director (2013-2015). She is founder and Executive Director of the Jamaica Accountability Meter Portal, a two-year-old not-for-profit that exposes, tracks and measures public accountability issues with a focus on improving national financial management.
