Hesham Albarrak is an assistant professor of accounting, having earned his PhD in Sustainability and Accounting Information Systems from Griffith University in Australia. He currently serves as a faculty member in the Accounting Department at Alfaisal University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Albarrak has over ten years of experience in accounting and auditing, during which he has actively participated in audit committees and boards of directors for several companies and entities in Saudi Arabia.

He is currently a full member of the Sharia Committee at the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA). Additionally, Dr. Albarrak has worked as a consultant for training and development at the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) and the Bankruptcy Committee, and served as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Accounting Association.
